The Sony BRAVIA XBR10 Series is a line of super slim edge-lit LCD HDTVs released by Sony in October 2009. These LED-backlit LCD HDTVs have a contrast ratio of over 1,000,000:1. The series can also deliver full 1080p wireless transmission of high definition signals from an external media source using a receveiver built in the TV itself. This allows the TV to be hung virtually anywhere, without have to worry about a clutter of wires to connect and conceal. A built in Ethernet port gives access to internet content such as Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube, Slacker Internet Radio, and Netflix using your existing broadband network. They also feature fully customizable Bravia Internet Widgets for on-screen applications including news, Twitter and weather. Enhanced image quality is provided by such features as a BRAVIA Engine 3 and Sony’s Motionflow 240Hz technology for crisp images with natural motion. There are 4 HDMI inputs for connectivity to several HD sources and a built in USB input to enjoy photos, music and vidoes from a USB storage device. There are also single PC, component, composite and component/composite selectable inputs.

Pros
- edge-lit LED backlighting
- extremely thin
- 1080p, 240Hz
- DLNA compliant - stream video and audio directly from compatible servers
- remote wireless tuner/receiver - sits apart from the set as to not distract from the aesthetic / thinness
- very sleek and attractive
- Internet video streaming and Yahoo! widgets
Cons
- extremely high price
- style before picture quality - doesn't look as nice as the XBR8 with LED backlighting / local dimming
- only two sizes available - no 42"
