Along with being able to shoot high definition video, the camera also has a few unique photography features. The Smile Shutter mode automatically takes photos when the subject smiles and the Face Detection feature creates detailed pictures based on the facial characteristics of an individual. Like most Sony digital cameras, the DSC-W310 also has Optical SteadyShot image stabilization that reduces blur and iAuto that changes camera settings when in different environments.
