The Sony Ericsson W380 is a tri-band flip handset with very similar features to the Ericsson W350 and meant to function as an mp3 player and phone in one. It has a wide, metallic frame available in several colors, and the exterior has touch controls for the music player. The W380 uses Sony's Walkman music player interface to play mp3s, and comes with track recognition and custom playlists. It has 14MB of internal memory, and includes a 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) and this can be expanded up to 4GB. Also included is a 1.3-megapixel digital camera with picture editor, though it is not capable of video capture. The W380 is Bluetooth connective, and has a stereo FM radio receiver as well. Like the W350, it has three different release versions, the W350i, W350c and W350a, the differences being their regional releases and reception bands.
