The Sony Ericsson W508 is a higher-end Walkman flip phone enabled for use on the 3G network. It has numerous features relating to its music player, and these include shaking the phone to control playback, custom playlists, track recognition, and stereo FM radio receiver. The W508 uses its camera to track motion, enabling gestures such as waving a hand over the phone to silence it. The camera itself is 3.15-megpixels with video capture, and there is a secondary camera for videocalling. Other features include external music controls, Bluetooth wireless and NetFront HTML Internet browser. The phone also comes with a customizable cover, to allow user-created designs. Memory expansion format is M2 cards, and the phone also includes a step counting application and threaded SMS messaging.
