Additionally, the Xperia X8 features a highly customized skin (similar to the one on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini) as well as Sony Ericsson's Timescape and Mediascape software.
The Xperia X8's 600MHz processor places it decidedly in the middle-ground of Android smartphones (as does Android 1.6), making it appropriate for younger users or those who want a simplified smartphone experience. Its customized skin features Sony Ericsson's proprietary Timescape software, which unifies social networking with calls and messaging, and Mediascape software, which unifies all media (video, music, images) into one simple interface.

#sony_ericsson_xperia_x8 Given current experience with Sony Ericsson and the Xperia X10, it is unlikely that the 2.1 upgrade will materialise for the X8 a)At all; or b)Early enough to be of any relevance !
