The Sony GVH-D700 is a portable high-definition video recorder engineered for recording, editing, and viewing high-resolution footage while on the go. It features a 7” LCD screen for playing back both high-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) video that has been recorded on a MiniDV cassette disk. Also included with the device is a Memory Stick Duo media slot that can be used to capture digital still images (up to 1440x810) from a video tape, an analog input, or even a digital video i.LINK input. Signature to the GVG-D700 is its support for x.v. Color technology, which allows it to transmit HD camcorder video content onto a compatible HDTV set. Additional features include an L- and M-series compatible InfoLITHIUM battery, a 2x playback zoom, and an i.LINK DV interface (iEEE 1394) for bi-directional digital V/A communication between two iEEE1394 devices, including camcorders, digital VCRs, or PCs.
