The Sony Handycam DCR-SX60 is a standard definition camcorder from Sony's 2009 lineup. The camcorder has 16 GB of embedded flash memory allowing it to store up to 12 hours of high definition footage. It features hybrid movie recording to the 16 GB memory and Memory Stick Duo media for increased flexibility. The DCR-SX60 is designed with a 2.7" touch LCD screen that rotates up to 270 degrees for multiple viewing angles. The camcorder includes a professional Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom lens with SteadyShot image stabilization technology for 60x optical and 2000x digital zoom. It also includes a 1/8" advanced HAD CCD imager for crisp video and still images and can be connected directly to Sony's VRD-P1 DVD writer to burn DVDs without the need of a computer. The DCR-SX60 has a built-in zoom microphone to add realistic sound to the footage. The camcorder is more advanced than Sony's DCR-SX41 since it includes twice as much memory and SteadyShot image stabilization technology which the DCR-SX41 lacks.
