This enables highly resolved quality images unlike the low quality images commonly found in the pseudo-widescreen mode. It supports new Memory Stick Pro Format and 2.1 megapixel CCD. In addition Sony has improved the Video front. The high resolution CCD offers ample video resolution of 540 lines and allows storing 1,600 x 1,200 stills. The Memory Stick Pro comes with capacity of up to 8MB, where you can purchase 1 GB stick that allows you to record MPEG video.

The Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T lens provides 10x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom, producing clarity images even at maximum digital magnification. The camcorder facilitates manual focus that helps to have control over white balance and exposure.

The Sony DCR TRV60 features a user friendly 2.5 inches LCD touch screen. Operating the Camcorder including changing the settings and options are very simple and easy. Even the stylus found in TRV50 is excluded in this model. It comes with infrared NightShot and an integrated flash to capture pictures in low light conditions.
