The Sony MDR-AS50G are behind-the-neck earbud style headphones from Sony's Sports and Active Style line. The headphones feature Neodymium magnets which provide more power and clearer sound than commonly used magnets as well as moisture guard technology which allows moisture to pass around the headphones. They are very lightweight, at only 15 grams without the cord, and are designed with a soft and flexible spiral neckband. The MDR-AS50G have a unique cord adjuster which allows the listener to move the cord to the best position and comes with 3 sizes of earbuds for a secure fit. The headphones have a 2 ft cord which makes it possible to use them with an arm-band as well as a 2 ft extension cord and come with a hard carrying case. The cord is single-sided with a gold-plated straight stereo plug and an in-line cord clip. The MDR-AS50G differ from Sony's MDR-AS30G in their overall design. They are also lighter than the MDR-AS30G, offer a wider frequency range, and include a moisture guard system which the MDR-AS30G lacks.
