Marketed towards consumers as an alternative to their stock buds or basic headphones, the Sony Frontopia branded MDR-E829V is a low priced dynamically driven open-backed earbud. At $14.99, the MDR-E829V is driven by a 16mm driver and includes a built in carabiner which makes cable issues a thing of the past. Sony's poor warranty may be an issue, but at only 15 dollars, such a loss may not be as hard to bear as the $299 MDR-EX700LP.
