Sony MDR-EX55

Marketed towards consumers as an alternative to their stock buds or basic headphones, the Sony MDR-EX55 is a low priced dynamically driven earbud. At $39.99, the MDR-EX55 is driven by a 9mm driver, tweaked to be especially bassy. While not as large as its two larger brothers (13.5, 16mm), this driver is still large enough to provide ample bass where single armature based models may struggle. Sony's poor warranty may be an issue, but at only 40 dollars, such a loss may not be as hard to bear as the $299 MDR-EX700LP. Available in black, white, pink or blue.
