At $44.99, the MDR-KX70LW is driven by a 16mm driver and includes a built in carabiner which makes cable issues a thing of the past. Sony's poor warranty may be an issue, but at 45 dollars, such a loss may not be as hard to bear as the $299 MDR-EX700LP.
