The second of four Sony i shelf systems, the Sony MHC-EC99i is an upgrade from the Sony CMT-LX20i in that it offers a subwoofer and a much improved power output. In addition, the MHC-EC99i includes a single disc CD player with CD-R/RW and MP3 playback, not to mention an iPod dock with charge, play, and control functions. The MHC-EC99i also sports an AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets, an audio-in port for MP3 players and PCs, a clock with sleep/timer/alarm functions, and a remote control with full iPod menu control.
