- Excellent multiplayer support with 4 built-in controller ports
- Cartridge games mean no need to wait for loading
- Analog control offers more precise input; this allowed consoles to offer first-person shooters like Goldeneye
Cons
- Cartridge games have limited storage capacity
- Somewhat awkward controller layout; your hands can't access all buttons at once
- memory cards plug into the controller adding extra weight

- Large selection of games
- Many RPGs--several Final Fantasy games and many other non-FF
- LCD kit allows for in-car play (passengers only, of course)
- Memory cards mean if you lose the game, you don't lose your saves
