The Sony STR-DG910 is a mid-level 7.1 A/V receiver released in April 2007 with 100 Watts / channel, retailing for $500. It's most notable feature is it's support for 1080p video pass-through using it's 3 x HDMI inputs. The STR-DG910 also supports transcoding of analog video sources (composite, S-Video, and component) to the HDMI output. Regardless of what it says below, this receiver does support LPCM over HDMI, but does not decode DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD. It was originally released in April 2007 along with several other entry level models. The Sony STR-DG920 supercedes this receiver and adds Dolby TrueHD / dts HD-MA audio decoding, a fourth HDMI input, and second-zone audio for $600.
