The Sony NWZ-X1060B is an MP3 player released in the UK around February of 2009. A Wi-Fi module with web-browsing and multimedia downloading capabilities, the Sony NWZ-X1060B MP3 player is an upgrade from the Sony NWZ-X1050B in that it features 32GB (versus 16GB) of internal memory. Like its peer, the NWZ-X1060B player features a 3” OLED touchscreen display with 432x240 resolution and a built-in FM tuner. In addition, the NWZ-X1060B MP3 player supports AAC, MP3, WMA, MPEG-4, H.264, and WMV file formats. The Sony NWZ-X1060B player also includes Digital Noise Canceling, a Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), and a 13.5mm EX headphone set. The Sony NWZ-X1060B retails for £283 through Amazon UK.

- stunning OLED touchscreen display
- active noise canceling
- drag-and-drop file management - not locked to a proprietary music program / service
- attractive UI
- 32GB of internal storage
- Excellent sound quality
Cons
- no open source OGG or FLAC format support
- expensive
- UI will be less modular than that on the iPod Touch
- Poorly implemented web browser
- late to market - years or months behind directly competing products
- No micro sd expansion
- Heavy for a flash player
