The Sony Webbie HD MHS-PM1 is a pocket-sized high definition camera from Sony's 2009 lineup that is designed ultra compact and lightweight, at only 4 ounces. The camera features a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor to take 5 megapixel still images and record high definition footage in MP4 format. It records directly to Memory Stick PRO Duo media and includes pre-installed PMB portable software to make transferring and sharing easy without the need for a computer. The MHS-PM1 has a slim vertical design with a 1.8" LCD display that automatically powers on the camera when it is opened and swivels 270 degrees for easy self-recording. The camera also 5 scene selection modes for recording in all types of lighting and is capable of 4x digital zoom and stereo audio recording. The MHS-PM1 is available in silver, eggplant, or orange, and is powered by a lithium ion battery for up to 100 minutes of battery life.

- allows for multiple memory sticks to be used - a good feature for vacations or other long term usage scenarios
- competitively priced

- records in full HD at 30fps (greater than 720p)

- no built in memory
- uses memory sticks which cost a fair bit more than regular SD/SDHC cards
