Not satisfied with only the success of the original Robosapien, WowWee introduced a new version of the popular toy made in the likeness of the popular superhero Spiderman. More than just a Robosapien with a fancy paint job, Spidersapien speaks Spiderman-like blurbs and performs custom movements such as web-slinging. Spidersapien was launched to coincide with the theatrical release of Spiderman 3.

Pros
- comes with a large vocabulary of spiderman phrases
- controlled wirelessly with included remote control
- 67 functions - dance, throw, grab, walk, etc...
- limited edition cross-promotional item
- fairly advanced robot - can preform programmed operations, includes sound and touch sensors
Cons
- high price for a toy
- not much of an upgrade over the Robosapien - simply a paintjob and some phrases / programed movements
- does not actually shoot webbing when web slinging
- Spiderman isn't much of a burper, farter or roarer
- uses lots of batteries - 4 x DD in the robot itself, 3 x AAA in the remote
- an obvious cash-in on the Spider-man franchise
- modified version 1 Robosapien, not as versatile as a V2 model
