This is the most rare and unique cross of good fortune in the world. These crosses are not made by man but by the divine. Legend is that long ago when fairies danced around a spring of limpid water, and played with naiads and wood-nymphs an elfin messenger arrived. He came from a strange city far far away bringing sad tidings of the death of Christ. When the fairies heard the terrible story of the crucifixion, the fairies wept, and as their tears fell upon the earth, they were crystallized into the little pebbles on each of which was formed a beautiful cross. When the fairies disappeared from the enchanted spot, the ground above the spring and the adjacent valley were strewn with these unique momentos of that melancholy event. For more than a century, thousands of people have held these little crosses of stone in more or less superstitious awe, being firm in the belief that they will protect the wearer against witchcraft, sickness, accidents, and disasters of all kinds. Beads are picture jasper, unakite, and gold plated. Approximately 18"and strung on premium wire.
