Splinter Cell: Conviction is a stealth shooter video game in development at Ubisoft Montreal, for Xbox 360 and PC, to be released by December 2009. A sequel to Splinter Cell: Double Agent, the story is focused on protagonist Sam Fisher's investigation of his daughter's death and its possible connection to Third Echelon, the black-ops unit of the NSA which he abandons at the beginning of the game. New gameplay features are to include "Mark & Execute", allowing the player to tag a target and fire at it automatically. An extended trailer for the game was shown at E3 2009.
