Details
Chris Taylor has attempted to make this a true strategy game, in comparison to other strategy games that he claims are more of a "tactic games" because of their small scale. The game centers around Mech Suits that make up the Armoured Command Unit (ACU). Each of these units belong to one of four technology tiers: 1) Small, relatively weak structures, 2) increased abilities, especially having to do with defences and shields, 3) very powerful offensive units able to break down defences, and 4) an experimental level made up of massive constructions requiring many resources, and much time, to build.
The games controls have been made easier than its predecessor to appeal to more casual gamers. All aspects of the interface have been reworked to save the gamer time and effort.

Pros
- Massively large scale gameplay with huge maps (largest: 81 x 81 km)
- Dual-monitor support
- Fast-paced multiplayer action
- Excellent "strategic zoom" function (from Unit level to complete map)
- Strategic and realistic units make for varied and creative strategies.
Cons
- Intense hardware requirements (3 GHz multicore CPU, 1 GB RAM, powerful video card)
- Problems with unit pathfinding AI
- For good use of multi-core CPUs a thrid party tool (CoreMaximizer) is required. Original design will max out one core before using the next which can quickly cause lag even on extreme high-end CPUs
