The Cons:Almost all plastic construction. Android is heavily skinned by Samsung, not the latest version available (2.2 vs 2.3). Not up to the latest dual core hardware standards.

The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G by Samsung is a smartphone slider designed for fast communications and quality multimedia. Designed for T-Mobile’s 4G networks, the Sidekick 4G provides download speeds up to 21 Mbps, meaning users can game without any lag.

Also included is a large 3.5” touch screen display for easily accessing content, a QWERTY keyboard for quickly typing texts, and a variety of text services, Group Text and Cloud Text) for submitting reply-all texts and texting with friends or groups across platforms, respectively. As the Sidekick 4G is especially geared for teens, it goes preloaded with applications for accessing one’s social networking account, whether Facebook or Twitter. Plus it offers certain applications for watching movies, listening to music, a front-facing camera for having video chats with friends, and a rear-facing camera for recording videos or taking 3MP pictures, which is a fairly high resolution for a cell phone.
