Anonymous: I distribute Activize along with many other Fitline products. A good friend of my is in your same situation and what I gathered from her is that since the product works so quick and works at the cellular level. It travels through her system really good. While she's taking it she notices that her little ones is a lot more awake and active as well. She finds it harder to get him to sleep..lol.. what she does take though is Fitline Basics BioPlus and she loves it. Purchased this product because it is free with coupon, and still have another coupon in case it dies.
The channel autoscan takes ~3-5 mintues. It finds all the local stations +
some that the analog could not get at all, although some digital stations are
weaker than the analog equivalent.
Picture quality is great, audio quality has a little added noise compared to
analog of same channels.
The RF output died after only 2 weeks of usage. We did not abuse the unit at
all: we used it for less than 10 hours/day and unplugged it during the night,
which should not be unreasonable. We have now resorted to the composite out
and who knows how long that will last! Thankfully the composite output
quality is the same as the RF output quality. Plan to give updates if the
composite dies and what happens when we complain to HDAcess.
The box has only three buttons! Power on, channel up and channel down. Thus you NEED the remote to do necessary tasks, like add channels. Bad news if it breaks!
Has analog passthrough, works just as one would hope.
You cannot scroll through the EPG without changing the channel, which I find
annoying. The EPG does allow you to scroll through 12 hours of future
programming on your current channel.
The box has a signal strength indicator, which can be turned on from the
SIGNAL button on the remote, and turns off upon channel change or the SIGNAL
button. It gives you a number from 0-100, and it needs about 25+ to display
The Menu has the following items:
Auto Channel Searching [allows option of full scan OR add channels, which is
very nice in case you can't get reception of all channels at once]
Channel List Editing [you can manually "delete" (i.e. hide) a channel so that
you skip it when you surf]
Change Password [for Parental Controls]
Parental Controls [V-chip]
Advanced Closed Caption [Style, Size, Font, Text Color, Text Opacity,
Background Color, Background Opacity, Edge Effect, Edge Color]
Language [English, Spanish, French]
Auto Power Down Timer [Off, 1, 2, 3, 4 Hours]
Does what we want it to do, but VERY disappointed that the RF output died
within a week of purchasing.
Anonymous: I'm very surprised that so many people are doing the lame thing by connecting these convertor boxes to their TV's through the RF connector and not using the composite RCA connector. Oct 8, 14
Anonymous: I have "aquired" one of these Access-HD convertor units, and I can tell you that when you turn it on from a "cold" start (ie the unit has been off for several hours or more) it takes up to 30 minutes for it to be able to receive digital TV signals. I turn mine on, the unit says it's not getting any signal, the TV is on and volume turned up, I walk away and eventually a picture and sound pops on the TV. This takes 20 to 30 minutes. The signal strength start out being weak, but over the next 15 minutes gets stronger. So for those people that thing these things don't work - you need to let them warm up. It sucks you have to do this, but just take note they do eventually start working. Oct 8, 14

Anonymous: No tire lasts 10 yrs...get real Nov 1, 11
Anonymous: I work for a tire shop in the pacific northwest and have been putting on tires with DOT# dates ranging from 2 years to stuf built in the late 80s. Tires will last you years and years depending on how you drive and the care you have for your tires. To help tires last longer it is best to ensure correct air pressure and exposure to the elements (proper storage durring the off months).60 min put on a special about needing to change your tires every 7 years which is bogus. Life expectancy depends on tire care, vehicle maintence, and exposure to UV radiation. I have in my store at this moment tires that were built in 65 still looking like the day they were shiped to us (plus a lot of dust). Not saying i would run a tire that old and that has been out in the sun the whole time but just looking at your tires can give you an indication of how long your snow tires will last you. Dec 3, 11
