Terk TV-55
$100.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:When mounted outdoors and aimed correctly it is capable of getting a good signal. Versatile mounting options, can mount it on almost anything. Inline amp does a good job boosting UHF signals.
The Cons:Doesn't get very good reception indoors, even a pair of "rabbit ears" get poor reception. Needs to be aimed directly at the transmitter to pick up signal properly. Priced much higher than most antennas on the market.
The Terk TV-55 is a hardcore HDTV antenna engineered specifically to optimize the performance of high-definition televisions. Mind you, it also handles analog television signals as well. Its powerful reception is based on a unique helical coil element that keeps the design unobtrusive, yet without sacrificing its ability to capture lower-frequency stations.
