Christopher Nolan, the genius behind Batman Begins and Memento, tries his hand at magic with his latest film. It takes place in late 19th century London and centres around the story of two rival magicians and their quest to out-magic each other. As the movie progresses you learn about the importance of the Prestige, the third act of any magic trick, when the object (or person) in question reappears.

More information

The film is based on a novel by Christopher Priest and features a stellar cast including Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as the obsessed magicians, Scarlett Johansson as a stage assistant and incomparable Michael Caine as a prop inventor. David Bowie also has a cameo as the famed scientist Nikola Tesla.

This movie is awesome. Christopher Nolan's portfolio keeps getting better: Memento, Batman Begins, and now The Prestige.

This movie is cool...I loved David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. I also thought the Illusionsist was a good movie.
