TiVo HD XL

TiVO HD XL is a cable/antenna dual-tuner DVR released in September 2008 that extends the function of its predecessor, the TiVO HD, while also expanding its recording capacity to 150 hours (1 TB) of HD programming. Also, for the first time in TiVo's history you can upgrade the recording capacity with the purchase of a DVR Expander made by Western Digital. The XL is has a network adapter that allows for media streaming over the network or download videos from the Amazon Video On Demand marketplace. An added bonus is that you can transfer your recorded programming for archiving and sharing purposes. The TiVO HD XL sells for $599.99 up-front, and expect to pay an additional $8.31 - $12.95 monthly for the service.
