Introduced in August 2008, the Go 630 is an entry-level GPS navigation device by TomTom. Featuring a 4.3" LCD with a resolution of 480x272, the 630 supports such features as text-to-speech, Bluetooth for hands free calling, limited voice control and updated traffic information (on an upgraded model only). For the regular model, the GO 630 bases all routes on TomTom's IQ Routes technology, which considers historical trafic information when deciding the fastest way to your destination. Available for $300, the unit reached North American stores in January 2009, and is exclusive to RadioShack in the US and FutureShop in Canada.

- fast and responsive interface
- recalculates route when going off track very quickly
- lane assist works well in tricky sections
- computer voice is clear and easy to hear
- pairing with phone works well
- displays points-of-interest on the driving map while driving
- pretty accurate estimated time of arrival
- shows you speed limits on the unit itself
- ability to avoid tolls when creating routes
- good amount of on-screen information without being overwhelming
- TomTom Home software lets you update maps for free
Cons
- no full voice control
- annoying to create detours
- speakerphone volume can be quiet
- some features (such as speed limits) are limited to big cities
- display of current location is a little offset from true position, which can create difficulties when navigating tight intersections
- voice input is pretty buggy
