The GO 950 is one of three upcoming GPS navigation systems from TomTom. The 550 LIVE, 750 LIVE, and 950 LIVE will complete TomTom's flagship x50 line, and all integrate a new user interface with more advanced routing technologies than previous models. The 950 is the only model which includes maps of the US and Canada in addition to Europe. Dead-reckoning technology, which prevents loss of GPS coverage in tunnels and dense urban cores, is also available only in the top-of-the-line GO 950. New features shared by all three devices include IQ Routes, which works in tandem with live traffic data to continuously optimize a selected route. In addition, a new Eco Routes option helps select the most fuel-efficient path to a destination. The GO 950 LIVE is slated for release in fall 2009; pricing is to be announced.
