- GUI is well done.
- Able to change background colors for day and night.
- Am able to modify street information such as accessibility, speed limits, etc...
- Ability to get updates from other Tom Tom Owners.
- Desktop software is easy to use.
- Errors are easily corrected.
- Greater routing options than Nuvi 200
- When unit is connected to the desktop, it allows you to be able to work in the unit in a virtual manner and be able to manipulate settings and make changes too.
- Unit can be password protected.
- Able to receive traffic information via external antenna.
- Satellite acquisition is relatively quick.
- Maps are cheap to update.
Cons
- Window mount tends to fall off.
- No expansion card, so you are limited to internal storage.
- Can only do one waypoint.
- Unlike the Nuvi 200 where you can see what direction and distance a particular place is, the Tomtom does not allow this.
