The Toshiba DR420 is a DVD recorder announced at the CES 2009 that features recording and playback abilities for DVD-R, -RW, +R, and +RW media disc formats. The first of four Toshiba D digital video recorders, the Toshiba DR420 features auto-finalization for formatting created-DVDs so that they can be played on other devices. In addition, the DR420 offers 1080p up-conversion capabilities and HDMI inputs for high-quality HD video playback. Slated to drop in February 2009, the Toshiba DR420 will retail for $119.99 and come with a 1 year limited warranty.
