The Toshiba MK**17GSG Series features two internal HDDs featuring a Serial ATA 2.6 / ATA-8 interface and a 5400RPM speed in a 1.8” frame. An upgrade from the Toshiba MK**16GSG Series, the lightweight and compact 160GB MK1617GSG and 80GB MK8017GSG HDDs from the MK**17GSG Series offer an ultra-fast media transfer rate of 571 megabits per second, a data buffer cache of 8MB, and 4/2 (160/80) physical data heads. Like its predecessor, the MK**17GSG Series boasts extra shock protection against vibration, extremely low power consumption, and a prolonged battery life. The Toshiba MK**17GSG Series HDDs retail between $110 to $175, depending on the model & retail outlet chosen. Each model comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
