Toshiba Portege R700-S1310

Released January, 2010
The Pros:Affordable starting pricepoint. Fairly powerful current generation Core i3 processor. Extremely compact and lightweight.
The Cons:Not as configurable as competition from other manufacturers (HP, Lenovo...). No options for more powerful onboard or discrete graphics - stuck with the poor performing Intel GMA only.
