Toshiba REGZA ZV650 Series
The REGZA ZV650 is Toshiba's mid-level line of REGZA LCDs introduced in 2009 and are the first sets from Toshiba that improve the ClearFrame technology from 120Hz to 240Hz. Sharing similarities between other 2009 REGZAs the ZV650s incorporate the Resolution+ upscaling technology and the fifth generation PixelPure 5G image processing chip. Alongside the 240Hz tech, the other features this line has above the lower level XV645s is the Dolby Volume normalization, digital media playback over the USB port, and a fourth HDMI port. Toshiba also introduces an new "InstaPort" technology into this line, that they claim allows for fast video switching between the TVs HDMI ports. The step-up from the ZV650s is the SV670 Series which is Toshiba's first forray into the world of LED backlighting.

ZV650 and SV670 Features
Dolby Volume control - attempts to automatically detect drastic changes in the audio sound levels and adjusts them accordingly to present a more consistent listening experience.
ClearFrame 240Hz - Toshiba's marketing name for regular 120Hz processing technology which allows the television to insert one frame between the regular video frame in an effort to reduce video artifacts such as judder and motion blur. The downside to this algorithmic approach is that the artificial frames can introduce their own video artifacts, and often times creates what is known as the "soap opera effect". The 240Hz figure means that the TV can introduce 3 extra frames between each real frame, giving the TV more flexibility in reducing visual artifacts.
Common to all 2009 REGZAs
AutoView - analyses the incoming video signal and automatically adjusts the resulting picture settings to optimize the image quality. For example, dark scenes may have the backlight reduced to allow for more shadow detail and deeper black levels.
Resolution+ - this processing technology from Toshiba attempts to upscale and lower resolution video, such as from the TV or DVDs, to the television's native 1080p resolution. Toshiba has put particular attention and effort into their upscaling technology and claims it is superior to most competitive offerings.
