The machine runs quite hot. Don't place on lap for longer than 10 minutes as it gets quite hot and could probably burn you. And because the processor is right underneath where one rests their palms/wrists it heats up your hands quite a bit too.

I own a Toshiba Satellite and think its one of the worst laptops around. It runs hot, has horrible speakers, not to mention their known power jack problem.
