Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV1

$1,600.00 Released June, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Sports a Blu-Ray RW drive, something that's still pretty rare for modern laptops. Blu-Ray firmware upgrade provides full 3D Blu-Ray support. Matte finish looks great and wards off fingerprints.

The Cons:Tends to run extremely hot. Included 3D glasses are uncomfortable. 3D glasses tend to lose sync unless the transmitter is lined up just so with the glasses.

The Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV1 is a high-end notebook laptop very similar to the Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV. In fact, the A665-3DV1 and A665-3DV are practically identical in terms of specs, function and price as both feature: a 15.6" LCD display (1366x768), an Intel Core i7-740QM processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB hard drive, a 1GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTS350M graphics processor and a Blu-Ray RW drive.

The only thing to differentiate the A665-3DV1 from the A665-3DV is that the A665-3DV1 does not come with most of Toshiba's preloaded software (sporting only hard disk recovery software).

The A665-3DV1's Intel Core i7-740QM processor and 4GB of DDR3 RAM make it more than capable of handling any type of modern computer use, from everyday home use to film editing to high definition media playback. In addition, its NVIDIA GeForce GTS350M graphics processor ensures that the A665-3DV1 can even handle the newest and most demanding DirectX 11 PC games while also providing 3D Vision capability. Meanwhile, the A665-3DV1's lack of preloaded software provides a freer OS environment for more experienced users.
