The Toshiba Satellite P500 is a mid-range laptop that is designed as a desktop replacement with numerous entertainment features. The laptop is an upgrade in size to the A500 with a large 18.4" widescreen LCD display with Toshiba's TruBrite technology and a high definition ATI Radeon graphics card for 3D gaming and HD movies. It features either an Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Turion X2 processor with 4GB DDR2 SDRAM and an up to 400GB hard drive. The Satellite P500 is designed with a slot-loading DVD SuperMulti drive, illuminated LED backlit keyboard, and can be upgraded to include high performance harman/kardon stereo speakers that provide immersive virtual surround sound. It has a built-in webcam and microphone and can be configured to include Bluetooth connectivity as well as HDMI and SPDIF ports. The laptop operates on Windows Vista Home Premium and includes a PC-Express slot and memory card reader. The Satellite P500 comes in an onyx black finish and has a 1 year limited warranty.
