The Toshiba Satellite P505-S8970 is one of six notebooks in the P500 series that was released in October 2009 alongside the Windows 7 operating system. It’s an immediate step up from the P500D-ST5805 and P505D-8960 models in that it incorporates a superior Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an enhanced nVidia GeForce graphics card. Like its peers, it features 4GB of DDR2 RAM and a 500GB SATA hard-disc drive. It’s especially geared for high-definition entertainment and multimedia. The included 18.4” screen can display 720p content in its original format. Included also is a DVD burner, high-quality Harman/Kardon speakers, and both wired/wireless connectivity options.
