Toshiba Satellite T115
$600.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Amazing battery life (8-9 hours claimed based on model). Affordable price. Great compromise between a netbook and a full laptop computer.
The Cons:Slow single core processor and Intel GMA graphics - can't do many everyday tasks such as watching high definition media, intensive flash / flash video. Glossy black plastic all over.
The Toshiba Satellite T115 is one of two CULV-based laptops released into the Satellite T100 Series during CES2010. It features either an Intel Pentium SU4100 or Intel Celeron 743 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and a 2.5” SATA-II hard-disc drive starting at 250GB.

Included also is 802.11b/g/n wireless networking, 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a 5-in-1 memory card reader, and an integrated webcam. Signature to the Toshiba Satellite T115 is its ultra-low voltage CPU(s), which when paired with Toshiba’s 6-cell batteries, lets the laptop operate for much longer than a conventional laptop. Overall, the T115 is recommended for professional and/or casual users seeking a PC to engage in basic tasks: email, IM, word-process, etc. It’s lack of audio/visual technology makes it fairly unfriendly for gamers and or entertainment enthusiasts.
