The SD-5000 is an entry level standard definition (SD) DVD player with upconversion and a lot of unadvertised features. Plays most low as well as high def video formats; AVI (DivX & XviD), MPG1,2,4 (VCD, SVCD, DVD) as well as MP3 and WMA audio files with bitrates up to 320. While still having all the normal DVD features: Zoom, Audio selections, Caption selections. The dollar per value rating makes this a good investment.
