Toshiba SD-K980

The SD-K980 is the flagship single disk player offered by Toshiba. Toshiba focused on designing this DVD player to take care of all home theatre needs. Via HDMI this player can up-convert to 1080p, and that image is also improved through Toshiba’s ColorStream Pro progressive scan. The REGZA Link feature allows users to connect multiple components through an HDMI cable and control it all through one remote. Completing the all-round capabilities of the SD-K980 is its JPEG Photo Viewer and the Multi-Format Playback. An added convenience offered by Toshiba in this model is including the HDMI cable.

It makes an annoying high pitched sound only when it is turned off. The only way to get rid of this is to unplug it, which is too much of a hassle. Not recommended for people with sensitive ears.
