Horizon GS950T

The Horizon GS950T is a low mid-cost treadmill. This treadmill has much in common with the other two treadmills in this line, the GS1040T and GS1050T. Like the GS1050T, the GS950T has the FeatherLIGHT lift system, which is designed to make folding and unfolding easy. Like the GS1040T, the GS950T's 2.25CHP motor can hit speeds from 0.5mph up to 10mph. Also like the GS1040T, the GS950T has an incline of up to 10%. Like both of the other treadmills in this line, the GS950T has a speaker system with an MP3 input and headphone output. The GS950T lacks the higher cost GS1040T's amount of programs (sixteen as opposed to nine), thicker belt underfoot (1.6mm as opposed to 1.4mm), and FLEXzone adjustable cushioning (which offers more options than the GS950T's CushionMAX cushioning). The GS950T also lacks the GS1040T's MyVIEW display (though it does have a simple display). The GS1050T is also a higher cost treadmill than the GS950T, and so has a more powerful motor (2.5CHP as opposed to the GS950T's 2.25CHP), more range of speed and incline (up to 12mph, up to 12% incline), and twelve program options as opposed to nine. The Horizon GS950T treadmill comes with a lifetime motor and frame warranty, and a one year parts and labor warranty.

Horizon CT9.1

The Horizon CT9.1 is a treadmill designed to be simple enough for beginners but feature-rich enough for enthusiasts. This is similar in design and features to the CT7.1, but has a redesigned deck cushioning system, fan, and display. The deck uses a MaxComfort system, which offers increased shock absorption while still providing a stable running surface. The ducted fan creates powerful jets of air to cool the runner, and helps decrease the amount of noise. This helps runners head their MP3 player through the built-in Sonic Surround speakers. The display features 2 large yellow and green LED windows for basic live statistics, and a blue back-lit eTRAK LCD for the display of program and progress information. A hydraulic system is used to make this treadmill easy to fold and store.

Features

This treadmill shares features in common with the identically priced GS1040T. Both treadmills have a 20" x 55" two-ply belt running surface. However, the GS1040T's is cushioned by the adjustable FLEXzone cushioning system, whereas the GS1050T's is cushioned by the CushionMAX cushioning system, which gives you fewer options. Both the GS1040T and the GS1050T have an incline feature, but the GS1040T only inclines up to 10%, whereas the GS1050T can go up to 12%, for even more of a challenge. The GS1050T's 2.5CHP motor can go up to 12mph, whereas the GS1040T's 2.25CHP motor can only go up to 10mph. The FeatherLIGHT lift system of this treadmill (a feature shared with the GS950T but not the GS1040T) makes for easy folding and unfolding. Both the GS1050T and the GS1040T have speaker systems with an MP3 input and headphone output (a feature shared with the closely related GS950T). The GS1050T is a step up from the lower cost GS950T in that it has more a powerful motor (2.5CHP as opposed to 2.25CHP), more range of speed and incline, and twelve program options as opposed to nine. The Horizon GS1050T treadmill comes with a lifetime motor and frame warranty, and a one year parts and labor warranty.

The Evolve SG shares many specs in common with the closely related Evolve. Horizon emphasizes the compact design of both treadmills. The Evolve and Evolve SG will not take up a lot of space in your workout area (both treadmills' dimensions are 10" x 17" x 45"). At ten inches high when folded, the Evolve SG can be stored under your couch or bed. Both treadmills have speeds from one mile per hour up to six miles per hour. Both have two built in workout programs: manual and weight loss. Both the Evolve and the Evolve SG have a 17" x 45" running surface that has COMFORTzone cushioning. The Evolve SG is a step up from the Evolve in that it has a more powerful motor (1.5CHP as opposed to 1.25CHP), and a speaker system. The speaker system has an in jack that allows you to plug in your MP3 player. That being said, the two treadmills have the same MSRP. The Horizon Evolve SG compact treadmill comes with a ten year frame warranty, five year motor warranty, and one year parts and labor warranty.

The Sole F83 is a high mid-priced treadmill, a middle offering in Sole's F series of treadmills. The F83 has lots of features in common with the closely related F80. Both treadmills have a display that shows the speed, incline, time, distance traveled, calories, pulse and pace you are at (the F83's is red LED). Both treadmills have a 3.0HP motor that is Continuous Duty. Both treadmills have built-in speakers that allow you to plug in any MP3 player (like an iPod) and have it play aloud. The heart rate zone graph on the F83's console (a feature not shared with the F80) allows you to visually measure your heart rate, so that you can stay within the recommended zone while you work out. The F83 is an improvement over the lower cost F80 in that it has a larger running surface (20" x 58" compared to 20" x 55"), can go up to 12 mph (instead of just 11 mph) and has a reinforced framework (which makes for a higher user weight limit). However, the F83 lacks the larger 20" x 60" running surface, 33" x 80" deck, 400 pound user weight limit, and 3.5HP motor of the flagship F85 treadmill. The Sole F83 comes with a lifetime frame and motor warranty, a five year parts warranty, and a two year labor warranty.

Featured also are 24 intensity positions that change the cushioning level and the workout plan to make the experience more difficult for the user. Even more noticeable though is the incorporation of iFit Live wireless technology, which allows a user with an at-home WiFi network to receive new workout downloads, manage an online profile, race with Facebook friends, track nutrition, and work out with Jillian Michaels. Additional features include an iPod/MP3-compatible music port, an integrated audio system (no headphones required), and an advanced display.

It builds from the 1050T, while maintaining the exact same price, making it a “catch” according to critics. It holds onto its predecessor’s Mach Z commercial-grade engine (12mph speed and 12% incline limits), space-saving design, and impact-reducing cushion, but incorporates iFit Live wireless connectivity. So long as the user has an at-home WiFi network available, the user can receive new workout downloads, manage an online profile, race with Facebook friends, track nutrition, and work out with Jillian Michaels. All this is accomplished through a Grafix high-resolution designed for quality screen animations. Also featured is an integrated audio system and an audio port for listening to one’s MP3 or iPod player.

It’s almost a duplicate of the 1050T, except that it adds along a 7” flat-screen television that can be used to either watch TV or track one’s workout intensity. Unfortunately the View 550 trades in its predecessor’s Music Port, though it does still host an integrated audio system with 3” drivers. Featured is a professional-grade 3.0 CHP Odyssey II motor that uses a self-cooling process to extend the unit’s life; a ComfortStride cushioning system that reduces joint impact; and a heart-rate monitor. Speed and incline are both limited to 12 (mph/%), and 12 calorie burn workouts have been included for users needing a pre-programmed routine.

The S77 has many features in common with the closely related S73. Both treadmills have six pre-programmed workouts (two of which focus on your heart rate), as well as the option of making two user defined workouts. Both treadmills have built-in speakers that allow you to plug in an MP3 player (such as an iPod), and listen to your music out loud, keeping your workout headphone wire-free. Both treadmills have a red LED readout that shows the speed, incline, time, distance traveled, calories, pulse and pace you are at. The S77 is a step up from the lower cost S73 in that it has a 3.5HP motor (as opposed to the S73's 3.0HP motor), as well as a 400 pound user weight limit (the S73's is only 350 pounds). However, the S77 lacks the higher end TT8's 425 pound user weight, 22" x 60" running surface, 32" x 80" deck (the S77's is 30" x 80") and 3 inch rollers (the S77's are 2.75 inches). Though the 7.6 HR PRO is the flagship offering of this series, it has many features in common with other treadmills in this series. Like every treadmill in this line, the 7.6 HR PRO has a sound system that allows you to plug in your iPod, MP3 player or CD player, so that you can hear your music out loud instead of having to work around headphone wires. Like the 7.35, the 7.6 HR PRO has one touch handrail controls that allow you to change your speed and incline while staying in motion on the treadmill. The main feature that sets the 7.6 HR PRO apart from the rest of the treadmills in this line is its Power Fold frame design. This design allows you to fold up your frame with the flick of a switch, as opposed to the other treadmills' manual dual-fold design. The Smooth Fitness 7.6 HR PRO has a five year part warranty (which is less than the lower-cost 7.35's seven year parts warranty), and a two year labor warranty. Like every fitness treadmill in this series, the 7.6 HR PRO's frame and motor both have lifetime warranties.

It features a spacious running surface, and heart rate monitoring. The T6 has a large, spacious running surface that is capable of accommodating even the longest strides. It has a 20" by 60" running area, and ensures the user is comfortable while they exercise by giving them plenty of space. The T6 also supports heart rate monitoring, which allows the user to continually check their own heart rate during exercise. It achieves this through built in pulse grips, which allow for constant monitoring of the heart. In addition, the user may choose to use the included Polar chest strap for heart rate monitoring if they prefer it. When compared to another treadmill by Horizon, the T901, the T6 has several advantages, including a more powerful motor (3.0CHP versus 2.25CHP), a steeper incline (0-15% versus 0-12%) and more programs (10 versus 7).

The Horizon T701 is a middle-end treadmill. It features console speakers with MP3 input, and a 0-10% incline. The console speaker's MP3 capability allows the user to listen to music while exercising. This may help them concentrate, and allows them to enjoy a work-out more than they usually would. The T701 also features a 0-10% incline, which lets the user choose the incline rate during the work-out. The higher the incline is, the tougher the work-out becomes. This allows the user to challenge themselves, but changing the incline rate to a higher level, allowing them to get a more effective work-out. When compared to another treadmill by Horizon, the T401, the T701 has several advantages, including a more powerful motor (2.00CHP versus 1.75CHP) and more program (10 versus 6).

It features a hydraulic lift assist function, and quiet motors. The hydraulic list function lets the treadmill fold and unfold smoothly and easily, making sure the user is safe from any harm that would come from a mistake. It also reduces the size of the treadmill, making it easy to store somewhere. The T401 also features quiet motors, which run so quietly that the user can even listen to music, or watch TV while at full sprint. This also lets them run at ease, without any loud motor noises to distract them during their work-out. When compared to another treadmill by Horizon, the T701, the T401 has several disadvantages, including a lower number of programs (6 versus 10) and a slower motor (1.75 CHP versus 2.00 CHP).

As the base unit, the 715T hosts a 2.25 HP Treadmill Duty motor that supports speeds up to 10mph and a manual elevation as high as 5%. Designed to be spacious, the treadmill hosts a large 16” x 45” running area featuring an AEROsoft cushion system below the belt designed to isolate the user’s lower body from unwanted shocks. This means that even heavy walkers up to 250 pounds can jog or run safely across the belt. In general critics appreciate the powerful engine and the fact that the Merit 715T can be folded for storage. However, they don’t like the manual incline adjustments, or the lack of programs (only 4 included).

The ProForm XT 90 is one of two specialized incline treadmills (XT 70, XT 90) that begin at a 10% incline, but can be pulled up all the way to 20%, allowing users to burn 4x the calories versus a flat-level treadmill. It builds from the XT 70 by incorporating more workout routines and advanced ProShox cushioning, which responds to the movement of your muscles, thereby keeping them tense throughout the entire workout. This helps better strengthen, tone and tighten lower and upper body muscles. Like its counterpart, the XT 90 allows the user to manually adjust cushioning / intensity levels; plug in an iPod or MP3 player; and build an online fitness profile using the iFit Live module (WiFi network required).

Featured are CrossWalk Upper-Body Arm handlebars that function similar to an elliptical trainer in that they provide the user with an upper body workout, though critics say the bars aren’t optimally positioned. Regardless, the 570 CrossWalk hosts a 2.8 HP drive motor that allows for a maximum 10MPH speed or 10% incline. There are no major convenience-related features like integrated audio, MP3-player connectivity, or a television, but there is a fan built into the console to help keep the user cool. Additional features include a heart-rate monitor, 15 programmed workouts, and a backlit display.

As a slight downgrade from the 1050T, the 790T hosts a slightly weaker 2.5 CHP Mach Z motor. According to critics, the mechanical difference is near minimal, while the price difference of $300.00 is much more relevant. Keep in mind that all other features remain the exact same, including a maximum speed of 12MPH, a max incline of 12%, an integrated sound system (no headphones required), and an iPod-compatible music port. Mind you, the 790T does go from 20 integrated calorie-burner programs down to 16, but it comes with an iFit Workout Card that, once plugged in, automatically adjusts the speed and incline, while providing the voice of a personal trainer to guide the user through his or her workout.

The 590T is the entry-level unit in the group. It sacrifices its superior counterparts’ integrated audio system and Mach Z Commercial Pro Motor. It instead relies on a standard 2.25 CHP Mach Z motor that allows a maximum speed and incline of only 10MPH and 10%, respectively. It does however still hold onto a heart-rate monitor, as well as iFit Workout technology, which allows a user to plug in an iFit card that, once plugged in, automatically adjusts the speed and incline, while providing the voice of a personal trainer to guide the user through his or her workout. Plus there are 12 standard calorie-burn workouts and a convenient backlit display.

Although sporting the same 2.5 CHP drive motor as the T102, the T1201 lacks its 12 program options (instead offering 7). The T1201 does, however, boast full iPod integration over the T102 as well as a 3-zone variable cushioning system (as opposed to the T102's PerfectFLEX deck cushioning).

The T1201's 2.5 CHP drive motor offers quiet performance even at maximum sprinting speeds (it boasts a speed range of 0 - 12 mph) while also providing a 0 - 12% incline range. Its 7 program options feature three preprogrammed quick start options (Weight Loss, Event Training, Cardio Training) and four programmable saved workouts which can be defined based on user-selected parameters. Additionally, the T1201's full iPod integration allows users to insert any iPod into the console which offers full control, battery charging and full music playback via integrated speakers. The Horizon T1201 is available in electric black, cobalt, slate and salsa.

The T103 offers some significant improvements over the T102, most notably: a 2.75 CHP drive motor (the T102 features a 2.5 CHP motor), 14 program options (as opposed to the T102's 12), full iPod integration and ComfortSELECT adjustable cushioning. Otherwise, the two models sport similar features, such as a COOLfit fan.

The T103 features 14 program options, allowing users to select one of three targets (Time, Distance, Calorie) and pair it with one of four workouts (Manual, Intervals, Hills, Weight Loss) along with two custom programs. Its dual integrated Sonic Surround speakers allow the T103 to playback audio from mp3 players while its integrated iPod dock also offers full console control and iPod battery charging.

The Sole F80 is a mid-priced treadmill, a middle offering in Sole's F series of treadmills. The F80 shares some features in common with the closely related F63. For example, both treadmills have built-in speakers that allow you to plug in any MP3 player (like an iPod) and have it play aloud, instead of dealing with headphone wires. Both treadmills have six preset workout programs, including cardio training and fat burning modes. You can also create your own custom workout programs as User 1 or User 2. The red LCD display of the F80 treadmill shows the speed, incline, time, distance traveled, calories, pulse and pace, like the F63's blue LCD. The Sole F80 has a 3.0HP motor (an improvement over the F63's 2.5HP motor), cushion flex shock absorption whisper deck (an improvement over the F63's phenolic shock absorption deck), and a wider range of speeds than the F63 (0.5-11 mph as opposed to 1-10 mph). However, it lacks the higher end F83's larger running surface (20" x 58" compared to 20" x 55"), reinforced framework (which makes for a higher user weight limit), and heart rate zone graph on the console. The Sole F80 comes with a lifetime frame and motor warranty, a five year parts warranty, and a two year labor warranty (a warranty that is better than the F63's).

The Smooth Fitness 9.45ST is a high-end fitness treadmill, the middle offering in this product line. This treadmill has a motion control hands-free speed control system. This design allows you to adjust the speed by waving your hands, which means that you can do it while staying in motion. The hydra-suspension system of the 9.45ST has adjustable cushioning, so that you can choose from twelve different levels of cushioning on your feet. You can change the cushioning to adapt to the type of workout you are doing. The 9.45ST also has a music system that allows you to plug in your MP3 player, so that you can have your music playing out loud instead of dealing with headphone wires. Though they have essentially the same specs, the 9.45 ST is a step up from the lower cost 9.35HR in that it has a lifetime parts warranty (instead of just two years), and an ultra-quiet whisper weave treadbelt. However, the 9.45ST lacks the 15" LCD TV of the flagship 9.45TV model. The Smooth Fitness 9.45ST comes with a lifetime frame and motor warranty, and a one year labor warranty.

It features a wireless pedometer, and variable cushioning. The wireless pedometer of the WT751 allows the user to count each step they take during a work-out. This also allows the user to upload their step count from the pedometer to the treadmill, letting them track their work-out progress. The user may also create a work-out review to see how they did in a single day. The WT751 also features variable cushioning, which helps keep the user comfortable as they're exercising. Designed with biomechanics in mind, the cushioning strikes a balance between firmness and shock absorption. When compared to another treadmill by Horizon, the T6, the WT751 falls short in some areas, as it has a less powerful motor (2.0CHP versus 3.0CHP), less programs (7 versus 10), and a lower incline (0-10% versus 0-15%).

It features a large, heavy frame, and an iPod dock. The large and heavy frame of the T901 makes the treadmill sturdy. It ensures that during even the mots intense work-out sessions, the treadmill will remain stable. This ensures the users safety, letting them exercise without concern on even the highest settings. The T901 also features an iPod dock, letting users plug in an iPod directly into the treadmill. This lets them listen to music during their work-out, which can help with their concentration. When compared to another treadmill by Horizon, the T701, the T901 has some advantages over it, such as it's iPod dock and stronger motor (2.25CHP versus 2.00CHP).

Its ADR2 deck cushioning ensures comfortable workouts while its 2.0 CHP drive motor offers extremely quiet performance. Additionally, the LS780T's nine workout programs ensure a customized workout best tailored to each user's unique goals.

The LS780T's ADR2 deck cushioning is specially designed to respond to the human foot, absorbing impact and dispersing shock for a more comfortable running experience. Its 2.0 CHP drive motor allows the LS780T to run quietly even at sprinting speeds (the LS780T's speed range is 0.5 - 10 MPH), allowing users to hear radios and televisions at normal volume levels. Meanwhile, the LS780T allows users to select one of three goals (time, distance and calories), paired with one of three terrains (manual, foot hills and intervals) for added workout variety.

The ProForm 780 CrossWalk is one of two Crosswalk treadmills (570, 780) that function as both a treadmill and a part-time elliptical. Featured are CrossWalk Upper-Body Arm handlebars that function similar to an elliptical trainer in that they provide the user with an upper body workout, though critics say the bars aren’t optimally positioned. In particular, the 780 adds along interactive CrossWalk workouts that prompt the user to use the elliptical-like handlebars during his or her workout. The only other change is a switch from a 2.8 HP to a 3.0 HP motor, which simply means the motor will last longer and perform at a quieter volume. Additional features include a built-in fan on the console, a heart-rate monitor, and 15 pre-programmed workouts.

It trades in its peer’s iFit Live module, but holds onto a slot where a separately purchased one can be fitted. Otherwise a duplicate, the Power 995 relies on a Mach Z commercial-grade engine to allow a maximum speed of 12MPH and a maximum incline of 12%. Also featured is a heart-rate monitor, an integrated workout fan, and 20 separate calorie-burn workouts. More workout routines can be accessed via an iFit module, but there is a $49.99 premium required. Additional features include a Grafix high-resolution designed for quality screen animations, an integrated audio system and an audio port for listening to one’s MP3 or iPod player.

As the top unit, the 1050T combines a space-saving design (in which the deck can be folded vertically for storage) with a 3.0 CHP Mach Z commercial-grade motor that supports speeds up to 12MPH and an incline up to 12%. Featured also is a specialized cushioning material that reduces joint impact by 15%; 20 calorie-burning workout programs; and an easy-to-use backlit LCD. What critics find especially appealing about the 1050T is its advanced convenience options. For instance, there’s an iPod/MP3-compatible music port in addition to an integrated sound system, which means the user need not rely on pesky headphones. Like every treadmill in this line, the 7.35 has a sound system that allows you to plug in your iPod, MP3 player or CD player, so that you can hear your music out loud instead of having to work around headphone wires. Like every treadmill in this line except the flagship 7.6 HR PRO, the 7.35 has a dual-stage folding frame that makes storage simple: you just have to tilt the deck into position and wheel it away. Fold it back and it is ready for use again. As opposed to the handrail toggle switches of the lower cost models in this line, the 7.35 has easy to operate one touch controls on the handrail. The function of the toggle switches and one touch controls is the same: to control your incline and speed while you are in motion on the treadmill. The 7.35 is a step up from the lower cost 6.75 in that it has a seven year parts warranty (as opposed to the 6.75's five year parts warranty), twenty preset exercise programs (as opposed to the 6.75's fourteen preset programs), and an industrial strength frame. However, the 7.35 lacks the flagship 7.6 HR PRO's Power Fold design. The Smooth Fitness 7.35 fitness treadmill comes with a seven year parts warranty and two year labor warranty. The frame and motor both have lifetime warranties.

Geared for heavier users, the 735T features a stronger 2.75 HP motor, a thicker belt that supports weight up to 275 lb, and a larger running area of 18” x 52”. It maintains its predecessor’s 10mph max speed and 10% max incline, as well as its motorized incline adjustment system.

Both treadmills have a sound system that allows you to plug in your iPod, MP3 player or CD player, so that you can hear your music out loud instead of having to deal with headphone wires. Both treadmills have a dual-stage folding frame that makes it easy to get ready for storage: you just have to tilt the deck into position and it is ready to be wheeled away. Fold it back and it is ready for use. Both the 6.75 and the 5.65 also have handrail toggle switches, which allow you to adjust your incline and speed while staying in motion on the treadmill. The 6.75 is a step up from the lower cost 5.65 model in that it has a dual color LCD display instead of blue LCD display, 3.0HP motor instead of 2.5HP motor, reading rack (which is an optional add-on for the 5.65), and an ultra-quiet whisper weave treadbelt (which the 5.65 lacks completely). However, the 6.75 lacks the higher end 7.35's seven year parts warranty, twenty preset exercise programs (the 6.75 only has fourteen), handrail one touch controls (instead of the 6.75's handrail toggle switches), and industrial strength frame. The Smooth Fitness 6.75 comes with a five year parts warranty and two year labor warranty. The frame and motor both have lifetime warranties.

Both models can be conveniently folded and stored away. The 1921 builds from its weaker peer by incorporating a more powerful 3.0 HP motor, meaning it can reach higher speeds up to 12mph, though it’s incline still remains the same at 12%. Like its predecessor, the IronMan 1921 features a sturdy belt that supports a heavy weightload. Plus it also uses deck-cushioning technology to reduce potential joint damage from shock impact. Critics appreciate the unit’s strong motor and heavy weight limit, but again they wish that it offered more convenience-related features, especially considering its fairly high price.

Included also is advanced cushioning technology designed to reduce impact absorption; an integrated handlebar-based heart-rate monitor, and accessory holders for storing a water bottle or MP3 player. Critics praise the 1911 for being sturdy and for offering a nice speed and incline. This treadmill is built with a large and heavy frame for durability, but is constructed slightly smaller than treadmills in the Horizon CT series and has a slightly lower user capacity of 275 lbs. The AEROsoft deck cushioning provides some shock absorption with firm support, and offers an 18 x 52 inch running or walking area. Runners are limited to a 10 mph speed and a maximum 10% incline, but walkers can go at speeds as low as 0.5 mph. 4 program options can be selected through the main panel, and program details as well as heart rate measured through the grips is displayed between 4 LCD screens.

The size and design are similar to the Horizon CT7.0, and it has the same speed range and program options. A number of things have been changed, however, including the use of PerfectFLEX Plus deck cushioning to provide a more balanced mix of shock absorption and support. Heart rate grips allow the redesigned display to feature information about calories burned and general health information. The fan has also been redesigned, keeping the runner cooler and more comfortable. An MP3 player input allows music to be played through Sonic Surround speakers, which work to make the sound effectively reach the listener without having to be at high volume. The frame is large and heavy for durability, but a FeatherLIGHT lift system makes it easier to fold the treadmill up for easy storage.

In promotion, Sole emphasizes the large running surface of the S73 (20" x 60"), which gives you a lot of space to work with. Like many of Sole's treadmills, the S73 has built-in speakers that allow you to plug in an MP3 player (such as an iPod), and listen to your music out loud. This keeps your workout free of headphone wires. The red LED readout shows you the speed, incline, time, distance traveled, calories, pulse and pace. The S73 comes with six pre-programmed workouts, and has a 1/4 mile track feature. Though the S73 and the closely related S77 have pretty much the same specs, the S73 lacks the 3.5HP motor of the higher cost S77, as well as the 400 pound user weight limit (the S73's is only 350 pounds). The 9.35HR also has a music system that allows you to plug in your MP3 player, so that you can have your music playing out loud. In promotion, Smooth Fitness emphasizes the fact that the 5.65 has a deluxe sound system. You can plug your MP3 player, iPod, CD player or other audio device into the console, so that you can have music playing aloud instead of having to deal with headphone wires. This is a feature shared with the higher cost 6.75 treadmill. Another shared feature is the dual-stage folding frame. You do not have to struggle with this frame to get it ready for storage: you just have to tilt the deck into position and it is ready to be wheeled away. Fold it back and it is ready for use. Both the 5.65 and the 6.75 also have handrail toggle switches, which allow you to adjust your incline and speed while staying in motion on the treadmill. There are feature differences between the 5.65 and 6.75. The Smooth Fitness 5.65 has a blue backlit LCD display, whereas the 6.75 has a dual color LCD display. This treadmill's MyVIEW LCD display is programmable with weekly goals, so that you can keep on top of your progress. There are sixteen programs on the GS1040T, including manual, intervals, rolling hills, weight loss, foothills, golf course, Custom 1 and Custom 2. There are also four distance goal programs and four calorie goal programs. The 20" x 55" running surface of the GS1040T is equipped with FLEXzone adjustable cushioning, which allows you to choose the amount of support you want under your feet. The GS1040T's 2.25CHP motor can hit speeds from 0.5mph up to 10mph. You can choose an incline of up to ten percent, depending on what kind of challenge you want. The GS1040T is a step up from the lower cost GS950T in that it has more programs (sixteen as opposed to nine), a thicker belt underfoot (1.6mm as opposed to 1.4mm), and the FLEXzone cushioning (as opposed to the GS950T's CushionMAX cushioning). The GS950T also lacks the GS1040T's MyVIEW display (though it does have a simple display). The GS1040T lacks the 2.5CHP motor, FeatherLIGHT lift system and larger speed and incline range (up to 12mph, up to 12%) of the GS1050T, which has the same MSRP (in exchange the GS1050T has fewer workout programs, 1.4mm belt with CushionMAX cushioning, and also lacks the more in-depth MyVIEW display). The Horizon GS1040T treadmill comes with a lifetime motor and frame warranty, and a one year parts and labor warranty.

The main feature that sets the 9.45TV apart from the other treadmills in this line is its 15 inch LCD TV. This TV is mounted at eye level on the console, and it designed to stay in place even when you are rocking the treadmill with your workout. There are built-in speakers for the TV's sound, but you can also use the headphone jack. On the 9.45TV, the TV takes the place of the MP3 sound system that the lower-cost models have. Like all of the treadmills in this series, this treadmill has a motion control hands-free speed control system. This design allows you to adjust the speed by waving your hands, which means that you can do it while staying in motion. The hydra-suspension system of the 9.45TV (another feature shared with this entire series of treadmills) has adjustable cushioning, so that you can choose from twelve different levels of cushioning on your feet, depending on what kind of workout you are planning on. The Smooth Fitness 9.45TV comes with a lifetime parts, frame and motor warranty, and a two year labor warranty. The TV has a one year warranty.
