This model boasts Dolby 7.1 digital surround that emphasizes otherwise-unnoticeable sounds (e.g. footsteps) and is thus marketed as an asset to gameplay as well. Because of the surround sound, this set is also ideal for watching movies or playing games offline. Like its predecessor models, the X41 has independent chat and volume controls, as well as a mic monitor and chatter volume boost if the game suddenly gets louder.
