Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" was released October 18th, 2007. It was the latest release until April 2008, when Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" was released. Gutsy is still supported until April 2009. As with the other Ubuntu releases, it is avaliable in both desktop and server editions.

As with the other Ubuntu releases, Gutsy Gibbon is free and will remain free. Gutsy Gibbon is avaliable for download, however it is recommened that you instead download the most recent release, which currently is Hardy Heron. Gutsy Gibbon still recieves security updates, bugfixes, and support until April 2009. You can update to Hardy Heron for free at anytime.
