According to a couple of members at the TeamXbox forums, a leaked flyer from K-Mart shows the Xbox 360 will receive a $50 price drop on the weekend of July 6th. This coincides with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that starts on July 14th.

It's unknown as to how much the Arcade and Elite versions of the console will cost, though the previous price drop suggests the Arcade may drop by $20 to $249, with the Elite dropping to $379. Expect Microsoft to make an official announcement in the very near future.

Awesome! That means the extra $50 gets converted into GTAIV for me when I purchase the console!

Another ad, this time from Radio Shack

And Sandman, depending on when the price drop happens officially you might be within the 30 day price protection guarantee. Or you could just return the one you bought, and rebuy when the price drops.

Ok, a price drop is coming for sure. The July 14th circulars from Circuit City and Best Buy are showing the reduced price.

Now, here is a tidbit to make things even MORE confusing/annoying: an uncomfirmed 60GB version of the 360 will be released sometime soon.

Some people are speculating that this "price drop" is an attempt to clear stock of the 20GB models to make room for the 60GB models that'll come in at $350. Which would also mean that the Arcade and Elite systems may not receive a price drop.

MS better make some things clear at E3 or the uncertainty will keep a lot of people away.

Checked the ads today, I didn't have a Radioshack or K-Mart one, never do, so I can't confirm them, but with Best Buy, they didn't have the 360 with the video games, and the only place in the catalog that it showed it was in a combo deal with some 5.1 speakers in a whole different section. It was the normal $350 price + cost of speakers - "Instant Savings." I think they're prepping for a price drop.

Target might be the best place to pickup the 360 as they're adding a $25 gift card on top of the $50 price drop. So you'll be getting a 360 for $275! Expect the price drop to happen next monday when Microsoft gives its E3 press conference.
