US Video Game sales for August (via NPD)

Nothing surprising here, though the Xbox 360 sold more than I thought it would. But PLEASE people, stop buying Maior Party 8, that was such a bad game.

Though this is an interesting for third parties, the most popular console is also the one that doesn't have the consumers who strongly support third parties. But will third parties keep up exclusives for the Wii if they don't sale. I mean, it's kind of embarassing that the Xbox sold more than the Wii in copies of Madden. Still though, the Wii sales are astounding, but DS sales went down didn't they? But nonetheless DS sales were still excellent.

PS3: Nothing new here, Sony should do that new SKU $399 thing ASAP to keep up in sales though. PSP and PS2 did decent. Overall the PlayStation Brand did well with about 500,000 in hardware sales, but man, the Wii almost sold as much as the entire PS Brand!

Xbox 360: I see that Blue Dragon didn't make it, it kind of lost its fire in the U.S. But Bioshock, Madden, and Two World's (Which was only considered average) did a good job of pushing 360 sales.

Now the question for September is how many copies will Halo 3 sell on Day 1? I predict at least 3 Million. But I could easily imagine more.
