The screen itself uses a LED backlight, meaning brightness is more evenly distributed and black levels gain greater depth. Vizio claims there are 160 automatically controlled brightness zones that are utilized by the set’s “Smart Dimming” feature. The 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio combined with ambient light sensing enable high color accuracy on the XVT473SV. A total of 5 HDMI inputs have been incorporated. Built-in internet services such as Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand, Rhapsody and Yahoo TV Widgets are also supported over the built in wireless-N connection.
