SK-26H540S Purchased from Costo.com July 2008, $399.

Set is not to bad.  Picture is OK for the price point.  Good for a bedroom or dorm.

It is tedious to edit the results of a channel scan.  Connected to cox cable WITHOUT a cable box.  So many premium and non-existent side channels made this a 20 minute task to remove the "dead" channels.

BAD BEHAVIOR:  When I reduced the BACKLIGHT even one "notch" an annoying hum would start coming from the built-in speakers.  I could find no explanation of the in the manual, and so far, no mention on any websites.  Has anybody else experienced this?  Only solution was to set backlight back to MAX.

When I have time, I will call Costco tech support and see what they have to say.

I've checked with Westinghouse as I had the same problem.  I was told that the design has a flaw/capacitor problem.  I suggest you return this unit to Costco and get something else.
