The Whirlpool ED2KHAXV is a 21.8 cu. ft. (7.4 freezer, 14.4 refrigerator) capacity side-by-side Energy Star® Qualified refrigerator that utilizes a Traditional Styling design that combines a timeless, traditional flat-door design with exterior ice and water dispensing. A lower end Whirlpool refrigerator, the ED2KHAXV lacks its predecessors’ (GC5, GC3, GS6, GS5, GD5) In-Door-Ice dispensing system, 6th Temperature Management system, and Pulse Defrost system. In addition, the ED2KHAXV offers a fairly inferior capacity of only 21.8 cu. ft. (versus >25). Nevertheless, the ED2KHAXV still does maintain a few useful features such as an Electronic Ice & Water dispenser that dispenses cool water on the outside of the refrigerator, a PuR® 6-Month Water Filtration that reduces unwanted impurities from household water, and an Adaptive Defrost System (ADS) that monitors the compressor run-time and the on-time of the evaporator heater.
