The Whirlpool WTW5300VW is a mid to lower end model top loading washer made available by Whirlpool. Although this is not Engergy Star certified, its sub-$500 price makes this is an affordable washer, and has some usefull options not available on lower models. The super capacity plus white porcelin wash basket has a 3.5 cu. ft. capacity allowing large loads to be washed. The xtra roll action plus agitator circulates clothes from top to bottom ensuring that even large loads are washed thoroughly. There are 16 wash cycles, including a hand wash cycle that uses intermittent agitation to mimic a hand wash in the sink; a feature not found on lower models. There are 5 water levels and 4 water temperatures to match they load size and type of clothing being washed, and the on/off extra rinse option allows extra rinsing if wanted. Fabric softener and bleach dispensers eliminate the need to return to the machine mid-cycle. The quiet wash noise reduction system keeps operations sounds to a minimum in the surrounding area. The matching dryers for this washer are the electric WED5300VW and gas WGD5300VW. The WTW5300VW and matching dryers are available in a white finish.
