Wii Sports Pack

This sports pack is designed to convert your existing Wiimote into either a tennis racket, baseball bat, or golf club. Essentially this is a set of plastic attachments that make your Wiimote look and feel a little bit more like the object that you are emulating. The Wiimote has come under a lot of criticism for being dangerous, and these attachments are adding to that perception. Decide for yourself.

This product has come under heavy scrutiny by some of the popular gadget blogs. I say "chill out". First of all, it costs only $22. Second, maybe it adds to the realism of a game. Especially for kids. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but for many, I'm sure it is.

I have Wii and the PS3. Personally I prefer the PS3. There are many multi-platform games that aren't available on Wii like Oblivion, DiRT, FEAR, and MANY more. I guess it comes down to your personal tastes. But anyway I feel like if I played with those, they would filing off the Remote and break something.

This Wii sports pack is really for those who buy the Wii ONLY to play wii sports..and for that it is good, but common.... I think Nintendo understands that many people will buy the Wii, play Wii sports with friends and never buy another game.

We got this pack primarily for the golf club, which really does help with keeping a more realistic grip and swing with the Wiimote. Unfortunately, the plastic is VERY thin and flimsy and the part that goes over the Wiimote on ours broke where it joins to the attachments. My other complaint is that the plastic gives a bit - a gap opens between the holder and attachment where skin can get pinched. I took a whole chunk out of the tissue between my thumb and index finger that took awhile to heal.

That said, I agree that kids will probably get better use out of this and the plastic may withstand the lighter force that kids are capable of putting into swings.
